Mittens (Office Cat) The occupational therapists and other staff members at Vancouver Paediatric Occupational Therapists are all chosen for their excellent interpersonal skills and broad range of professional expertise. In addition to working in paediatrics all our staff have a strong background in adult mental health. Continuing education is on-going at VPOT with our occupational therapists attending courses and conferences on a regular basis. All our occupational therapists are licensed through the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia* to practice occupational therapy. The College’s mandate is to serve and protect the public by setting standards for entry to practice the profession in BC, establishing programs and guidelines to ensure that occupational therapists practice safely, ethically and competently, and investigating complaints raised about registrants’ practice. All staff at VPOT also have had a current criminal record check.
